If only we could get companies to make them in a bright, almost neon orange and cover them with shiny reflective tape. Maybe then we can prevent another tragedy like this one.

There is no direct state law regarding skateboarding on roadways, but as far as I’m concerned, they’re considered pedestrians and are not to be on the roadway.

I’m inclined to agree. But I would also add that if they’re considered “vehicles”, he would have had to stop.

Either way, it looks like he learned his lesson. Nice to see that he actually put the cone back, and didn’t leave it on the ground like some jerk...

That’s okay, I was at an elementary school for a choir performance a week ago and some mother sped into the parking lot at at least 15 mph, hit 2 of 6 giant new bright cones and drove 20ft before my friend made her stop and tell her that she hit and dragged a cone, unbelievable. Mind you this was a parent, in an elementary school parking lot, with children running about.
